My story today is about teaching math while unloading the dishwasher.
I usually unload and reload my dishwasher during the lunchtime routine, and I’ve found little habits connected to math that support continous progress.

I’m always looking for ways to use our conversation to coax and confirm learning in small, lasting steps.
The kitchen has become a place where small deposits are continually made. I wonder if the slight distraction of the kitchen business helps us all to just do the things rather than wallow in struggle over math.
